Queens of Land and Sea (2026), an original board game by Cally Trench, is a game for four (or two) players. It is a game of skill, modified significantly by chance and luck. The aim of the game is to depose the enemy Queens. |
|
The players operate in two teams, serving either the Queens of Land or the Queens of Sea. The initial placing of both the Queens and the first double-sided counters is determined by chance. A throw of the die decides how many moves a player makes (1-5), with moves being either the placing of a counter or the reversing of a counter. Players will need to decide whether it is in their best interest to attempt to protect their own Queens or to attack an enemy Queen. High throws of the die are clearly advantageous, allowing more Counters to be placed or reversed. The asterix throw of the die always results in a Queen relocating to another space, and this can thwart attempts to surround and depose her, even at the last minute. |
