Our recollections of childhood are compiled from strange mixtures of the real and imaginative worlds that we inhabited as children.

The Blue Swimming Costume, The Yellow Shorts, The Pink Hat, The Grey Trousers and Monument show a girl in ordinary clothes in unpopulated, exotic, rural, fictional or ambiguous landscapes.

In Repeating History and Irretrievable Time, the child occupies a space between the real world and the world of toys and dolls.
