LYNNE GRACE
Lynne Grace, Untitled |
Lynne Grace writes: Water is a constant theme throughout my work, and my paintings celebrate my passion for painting itself and the awe with which I regard the sea. My work is a visual exploration of the complexity of this endless mass, which, since the beginning of time, people have stared at, and felt small, solitary, transient and awestruck. I want to offer the viewer an intimacy with the landscape as I have experienced it. Inspiration for my work is always based on personal experience, not just from the present, but also from the past. I find ideas for my images from the written word, from music and from my travels. I am drawn to the wild coastlines of Nova Scotia and Western Ireland, and spend time on the Jurassic coast in Dorset. I graduated from Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College in 2006, and will start an MA in Fine Art at Winchester College of Art this September. |
